Silvan wanted "do-it-yourself" employees
Silvan wanted their employees to be "do-it-yourself" people, who were
consequently able to provide the best advice to their customers. Therefore, in
Silvan shops there are a number of films dealing with "do-it-yourself" topics,
for instance, on how to lay a new parquet floor. Silvan wanted to encourage
employees to watch these films and remember the content.
Create your dream home via IVR
Telecom Scandinavia provided the IVR-based training solution "The Dream Home Project", which was set in an entertaining fictitious universe. Employees had to watch the DIY films and then call up the IVR training line once a week for five weeks and answer five questions each time. Every week they were given a question in a new category, corresponding to a new room in the "Dream Home". These questions were supplemented with a single question on Silvan''s new strategic platform.

The use of IVR ensured Silvan''s management a continuous overview of their
employees'' level of knowledge, thereby giving them an excellent management tool.
The response rate reached over 90%.
